What Som did in AEO, and why

14 to 30 October 2026 · for the alignment call · base: aeo-two-week-2026-10-29-4c8a17

Purpose: so the room is clear on what Som did and why, across Som’s share of the AEO process. This report is Som only (areas 1 to 7). Hoa’s tools and Vin’s close stay on the base page.

2 November drafts, written and not sent. Nothing here is ticked. The AEO section for Vin is the home page. The YouTube list is /e5-8-youtube. The spec for Kevin is /e7-1-ai-tracking. The wrong-statement pass is /e6-100-trace. The home page leaves the four AI visit cells blank.

AEO here: get AI assistants to name Hypertune and get our facts right when buyers ask. Som’s share: choose what we track, lock one set of facts, trace wrong answers, write pages AI can quote, build the page-check path, trial two paid tools, and draft how we report results.

1. Choosing the questions

Som researched · Vin approved · Hoa loads

Why: every number we report depends on which questions we track. They have to be real buyer questions, fixed for the quarter, and identical in every tool.

Done

  1. Provisional 25 approved 20 Oct so tracking could start.
  2. 25 Oct research from Semrush, Peec, Brand Radar and Search Console, with five proposed swaps.
  3. Vin approved four swaps 27 Oct. In: best game booster · improve FPS without upgrade · safest PC tweaks · vs EXM. Razer Cortex stays. Set fixed until 31 Dec.
  4. Hoa ticked E1-8 on 30 Oct (EXM Tweaks stays off Otterly).

Research: e1-5-swaps

2. One set of facts

Som wrote · Hoa, Vin and Travis check · Austin signs off

Why: if site, listings and press disagree, AI hedges or picks the wrong line. One internal source of truth stops that. Public facts live on trust and /pricing.

Done

  1. Facts page drafted 22 Oct; handover notes 26 Oct (40 facts with source and confidence).
  2. 28 Oct: stays internal; old sheet retired.
  3. 30 Oct: Hoa’s E3-50 check applied (founder not co-founder; info@hypertune.gg; live safety URL; no “unsafe” / crypto feature). Dated 30 Oct.

Open Vin’s final check (E0-3), then Travis. Som round 2 on 2 Nov. Two Reconfirm lines still need a human answer: “Is Hypertune free?” and Product Hunt “One-click”.

3. Tracing wrong answers

Hoa flags · Som traces

Why: a wrong answer usually comes from one source. Fix that source. Do not argue with the AI.

Done

  1. AMD miss: no public page said “AMD partner”. Press said Intel partner / AMD supported.
  2. Also logged: homepage “never touching game files”, TechPowerUp old yearly $59.99.
  3. 30 Oct: Vin locked the AMD partner line into E3-16. It ships; it does not wait on Austin again.

4. Pages AI can quote

Som set the rules · Som and Hoa write

Why: AI quotes passages. Answer in the first 40 to 60 words, use tables, date numbers, name the author. A written standard makes every draft do that.

Done

  1. Nine answer rules approved 19 Oct; in the framework and writing skill; sent to Travis.
  2. Word ranges; stress-test wording; free-tools table; test method sheet.
  3. Eleven drafts written to the rules.
  4. 30 Oct E3-16 decisions: Travis hero kept; /pricing H1 waits for buyer page; SAVE 42% stays; $119.88 label approved; AMD partner in; no facts footer; social unchanged.

Open Austin’s FPS test evidence (E4-17). Two Profound lines into the buyer page once “do not pay” is confirmed on the call.

Rules: ai-content-framework · method: e4-8

5. How every page gets checked

Som and Hoa built it

Why: a second writer catches misses first, so Bobby, Vin and Travis spend time on SEO, the final run and product facts.

Order (20 Oct): writer → other writer → Bobby → Vin → Travis written feedback → 30-min call → round 2 → Travis re-check → Austin → Kamil.

Every handover opens with the keywords block. Checker sends an edit list as a document; only the draft owner publishes the link.

Done Path used on the drafts. Hoa shared FPS, CS2 launch and Overwatch reviews on 30 Oct. Buyer page cleared to Bobby (C13-1).

Open Apply remaining edit lists. Warzone stays frozen until round 2 on 2 Nov.

6. Testing an AI writer and a research tool

Som

Why: both tools are expensive on a paid plan. A free trial was enough to learn what each adds.

Done Semrush used for question research, then cancelled before the charge. Profound drafted the buyer page from the same brief: 0 fact errors and a better “worth it” section, but rule breaks and no date / Terms / cancel cutoff. Our draft stays the base.

Open Do not pay. Take the “worth it” headroom line and the monthly-plan line into the buyer page.

Profound: e8-5-profound

7. Reporting what AEO achieves

Som writes · Vin reviews · Kevin builds tracking

Why: Austin and Jerad only see AEO in the bi-weekly report. They will ask if AI brought paying customers. Today we cannot answer that without Kevin’s tracking.

Done

  1. AEO section for Report 2 drafted (13 of 25 named, 34 AI visits, 15 AI-chat signups, AMD miss, next actions).
  2. Tracking brief for Kevin: last visit, first visit (90 days), survey split, then one count.
  3. 30 Oct: Vin said take the partial baseline now. Run 2 only covers the four new questions. Mark Bing AI as not pulled. Leave the four AI visit cells blank in Report 2.

Open Finish Report 2 (R2-3). Send tracking brief to Austin for Kevin. VBS block to Travis (T5-0) if not yet sent.
