This spec is for Kevin. Austin sends it on. It is for counting whether AI answers bring paying customers. It asks for three sets of counts. It does not fill them in.
The three ways are the words already on the AEO strategy page: “first touch from an AI assistant, chatgpt.com UTM, survey ‘AI Chat’”. The E7-3 draft does not name the three ways. This page uses the strategy page’s names.
This count is for people who land on hypertune.gg from an AI answer. Split it by engine and by page. The four cells below stay blank. There is no visit export to put in them.
| Engine | Visits | Page |
|---|---|---|
| ChatGPT | blank | blank |
| Gemini | blank | blank |
| Perplexity | blank | blank |
| Copilot | blank | blank |
Report 2 says the old 34-visit total is a different count, so it stays out of these cells. Bing AI was not pulled.
Keep these three counts separate. A paying customer is someone who pays. Kevin confirms what “pays” means in the billing system.
| Way, as written on the strategy page | What this count is for | Count |
|---|---|---|
| first touch from an AI assistant | Paying customers whose first recorded visit from an AI assistant is kept, even if a later visit came from somewhere else. | blank |
| chatgpt.com UTM | Paying customers who arrived on a link that carried the chatgpt.com tag. | blank |
| survey “AI Chat” | Paying customers who chose “AI Chat” when asked how they heard about Hypertune. | blank |
This count is the combined figure. Each paying customer is counted once, even if two or three of the ways above include them.
The strategy page says the combined figure counts each customer once. It does not say which label wins when the three ways disagree. That rule is a blank for Austin.
| Count | What it is for | Number |
|---|---|---|
| Paying customers from AI, once each | One person, one count, if any of the three ways says AI. | blank |
This spec is written. It has not been sent to Austin. E7-1 is not ticked. Done-when is the spec with Austin.
